The frog groups of Northern Territory
There are 1 groups and/or programs listed as operating in Northern Territory.
Frogwatch NT

The core aims of the Frogwatch NT project are to:
- provide a focus point for information about the frogs of Northern Australia;
- provide a specific focus for Cane Toad related information in Northern Australia;
- facilitate community knowledge and awareness about frogs and related issues;
- educate people about frogs and frog calls in an attempt to increase knowledge about species and their distribution;
- facilitate collaboration by researchers and other professionals working in this area;
- facilitate knowledge transfer, in both directions, between the general community, including indigenous communities, and the researchers; and
- raise the profile of frog related issues in the NT through education;
"ToadBusters" is a further initiative of Frogwatch NT - a project attempting to stop cane toads overwhelming the Territory's ecosystems.
The cornerstone of the program is the Frogwatch NT website. It performs a valuable public education and awareness-raising role as well as providing a coordination point, an important factor in several of the core aims.
Registration at the website allows you to make contributions to the knowledge held. There are no membership charges to become a participant in the project.
