To optimize husbandry conditions for gopher frogs an experimental array was constructed with heat lamps of three different intensities and satiated feed.
The substrate and water dishes were placed symmetrically with a heat lamp one end.
The temperature of the frog and substrate, and the frogs position was measured weekly.
The length and weight of the frogs was measured monthly.
The frogs were fed enriched crickets and the number consumed measured.
Both staff and volunteers help with these studies.
