•Sick and moribund individuals were collected, packaged and transported
to Cooktown where they were dispatched by plane to Rick Speare via
Keith McDonald (QDEH).
•The experimental reintroduction was concluded, except for the animals at
the Butchers Ck tank.
•This
was the first observation of “the event” associated with the declining frog phenomena in the wild. Subsequently sick
and
dead frogs have been found among many other species of frog in Australia and elsewhere.
