Our observations showed that:
)declines involved the illness and death of adult frogs
)several hundred individual frogs from three species and two families died along 300m of stream within a six to eight week period in early summer
)there was no unusual climatic event associated with the declines
)declines occurred first and most completely in species that were most closely associated with stream water
)species with less contact with the water persisted longer
)For L. nannotis, total disappearances took less than 50 days from the first outward signs to appear until there were no adults visible on the stream.
