Treatment frogs were exposed to 5000 B.dendrobatidis zoospores, in a controlled environment for 12
hours.
Frogs were housed individually after exposure
Behaviour of the frogs were monitored over 106 days
after the exposure and for 27
days prior to exposure.
Infection was monitored using toe clips, taken at 10
days after exposure (to monitor
weather infection was esablished) and at death to compare the pathogen load between species
and between
individuals
Frogs that became fully symptomatic for chytridiomycosis
were euthanased using 0.2 %
