­Slides made prior to exposure show that all L.caerulea, L.chloris and M.fasciolatus were negative for B.dendrobatidis prior to the experiment.

ÙL. tasmaniensis:
ÙThe histology of toe clips from the 2 control individuals of L.tasmaniensis as well as the 2 treatment individuals that died were studied and subsequently shown to be infected  with chytrids before and after exposure to b dendrobatidis.
ÙAll these individuals were housed together prior to the start of the experiment.
