Determination
The head
of Biosecurity Australia considers the IRA and recommends a policy
determination in line with Australia’s conservative approach to
quarantine risk management.
Final IRA report
released.
Once the appeals process is completed the Director of Quarantine
makes a policy determination on the biosecurity policy. The
Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) is
responsible to implementing the policy.
