Tadpoles
ØWe have observed tadpole growth to be quite
rapid at a small size which
slows as they age.
ØMetamorphosis starts in mid to late December
with froglets starting to emerge from mid January to mid February, 104 to 150
days after hatching.
ØIn one group two individuals did not start
metamorphosis, with one disappearing at 255 days and the other at 316 days. This
is the first time
we have observed this???
