Maintenance
ØThe frogs are cleaned daily including
removing faecal material,
cleaning filter, watering plants and cleaning mirrors and glass.
ØLighting is delivered by natural and bulb,
maintained on an
11hr cycle to aid in plant maintenance.
ØA 100 watt aquarium heater is utilized in the
pond over spring and
summer to aid in temperature increase and reproductive stimulation.
ØThe air temperature in the enclosure
fluctuates according to
the season.
ØHolding enclosures are maintained off limits
as aquaria.
ØHalf of the aquaria sits on a heat pad set at
250C-280C.
