ęvaries with species but all start with shallow panting seen in the abdomen (ignore chin); lungs are grossly distended, sometimes reaching to vent
ędrugged look to eyes; pupil shifts up
ęabdominal bloating from pain followed by rapid weight loss - no interest in food
ęskin irritation and ballistic movements, a little white foam is present
on L. infrafrenata when skin is gently stroked
ępigmented skin layer looks
‘beat up’ with patches, flecks
of white where pigmented layer sloughs
off revealing inner dermis
ęexcess sloughing and ‘sliming’ in mid and late stages
ęulcers anywhere on body
