Chytrid conf 2004
Prevention for keepers
8Chytrid is a cool climate pathogen - infections are possible whenever the max temp is below 27 deg - at those times:
êgive all your frogs a betadine bath for five minutes every few days (1 part per 100 dilution) as a preventative
êuse new disposable gloves for each frog
êavoid froggy field trips during this time
êavoid transfering stock during winter but if you must, give those frogs the betadine bath every day for at least a week before transfering
êif you are receiving frogs, keep separate from other frogs, give them the daily betadine bath for two weeks after arrival; use gloves to handle
