tadpole ID

Postby Kalamunda » Wed Apr 12, 2017 3:18 pm

I get well over a 1,000 motorbike and tree frog tadpoles in my dams, creek and aquaponics tanks but these are just far to plump. They were very late in season and have not developed legs.

Hi,

Sometimes tadpoles can grow quite large and overwinter and some can develop a very swollen appearance. They do look like tree frog tadpoles to me from those shots but do you have any showing the full body? Only other candidate I think would be the Western Banjo Frog (Limnodynastes dorsalis).

Aaron
