tadpoles blowing bubbles

Postby trishandjase » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:57 pm

there are bubbles all around the edge of the container the tadpoles are in, i watched them and they are all sitting at the surface and every now and then a bubble comes out of their mouth and stays on the surface, is this normal?

Are they hanging vertically from the surface of the water? If they are the water may be low in oxygen. Also, is the water clear or slightly tea coloured?
