Little blind Freddy

Postby Tin Lizzy » Mon Feb 13, 2012 1:14 pm

I've been raising SBTF tads for three years and this year had about 3 with an eye missing. I don't know if it was always like that or caused by an injury.

One of them's made it successfully to froghood, can leap and catch crickets and is doing pretty well, s/he has a little potbelly. There doesn't seem to be any scar tissue, just a slightly asymmetrical head. Has anyone else had this happen? What's the probable cause? What are Blind Freddy/Freda's propsects of a long and froggy life? (Will try to get and post a picture.)

Here's Blind Freddy's good side. S/he kept moving so as to keep its eye on the camera so I couldn't get a proper picture of the blind side of its head.
