Litoria dentata???

Postby Evan » Tue Jan 10, 2006 12:09 am

I went out frog spotting tonight, and came across this little guy. He was sitting in a tree near a slow flowing river.

I originally thought it was Litoria dentata because of its shape. The other one I have seen had a very similar jaw. However, the colouring is completely different. My theory is that it is a youngen, and hasn't fully pigmented yet. What do you think?

Thanks again Scott. I really need to update my frog book, its Cogger's, but it is older than me.

Hi all,

Grigg, Barker and Tyler....The field guide to Australian Frogs (1995) I have found is in many way better than cogger. But again a touch out of date.

Generally good photos of each species of Australian Frog.

Regards,
Scott Eipper

I think Cogger has retired now, so we won't be seeing any new ones from him. We can only hope that Tyler releases a new one soon.
