Pretty stupid question about croaking

Has anyone ever pretended to croak to your frogs and they have croaked back?

All the time! Frogs are very responsive to imitations of their calls. Frog surveyers will often make croaking noises to frogs to see if they respond, I know I have when surveying for Bell Frogs.

Good! I've done it for year and I wasn't sure if it was stuffing them up
I thought I could of disrupted them and made it hard for them to reproduce or something.

I downloaded my frog species 'croak' and I play it to the juveniles.... gets them croaking back!!

I have had Mr.T for 3 months and not a single noise so I began to think Mr.T maybe a Ms.T

So last week I purchased Ms.T a male partner, which I was told 'croaks'.

omg i heard my TWO frogs croak for the first time tonight!

Yes that's right Mr.T croaked the cutest high pitched croaks!
So now looks like I may have 2 boys LOL!

Is this correct though that ONLY males croak??????

The only time females will make noise is when they are distressed, which is generally when they are being attacked by something, otherwise yes only males make noise.

Mr.T did't appear distressed when he croaked tonight, was sitting in his usual spot at this time of the night, very tame now... likes to come out of his tank and sit on the edge and watch what's happening while I sit here on the computer lol.

But I am still not sure whether Mr.t is male or female. I began to think mr.t was a female until tonight.

I will post a pic. Mr.T is the dark green one. Can you please tell me whether you think mr.t is female or male, much appreciated

My green trees have been with me for three years now without a sound, then in the last month one has called about three times. Maybe he got sick of being called a girl!

that's great Ann, to hear him (or her) call after so long. I got so excited when i heard mine croak, but DAMN they won't do it again!

Try spraying them from a water bottle, or pouring water in a rain like manner (watering can?) into your water section.

I think i have 2 males and 1 female. Theonly time they will croak is when i play the caerulea call for them or really early in the morning.
