Guidelines for your profile

Choose a username that generates trust

We encourage members to use their real name (or a variation of it) when registering as users. This is preferred but by no means essential. We like to know who we are speaking with and, we believe, it enhances a feeling of trust and reliability over time for that user. It's simply more personal and friendly.

Many of the regularly contributing members don't actually use their real name so it is your choice. We'd rather have you make contributions than force you to reveal yourself.

Be responsible with your personal details

You can choose which details to make visible to other users including your email address. It is recommended that your email address is not made public as spiders/robots which trawl forums may be able to recognise your address and add it to a spamming list. Don't worry, other people will be able to contact you (via private messages, if you allow it) without knowing your actual email address.

We would like to know your location to a state level if you live within Australia. If you would like to be more specific, it is your choice.
