Southern Bell Frogs (Litoria raniformis) in South Australia?

"...get frogs/tadpoles for my garden"; "find and catch a particular frog from the wild"; "release some frogs". A special forum where the answer is almost always "it is illegal (and not recommended)" but you can ask anyway.

Ive been almost a year and Im still looking about to see who has these, seems they are are rare almost as hens teeth. I now have a pond ready and a marsh area, Im allowing to grow in preparation of one day hopefully getting some of those frogs.

One needs a quite specialised licence to keep them as they are endanged http://www.environment.sa.gov.au/managi ... Specialist.

I dont know how anyone is meant to meet all the criteria on the form to get approval for the licence to keep them. To also meet the licence one also needs experience in frogs first (something I dont feel quite qualified in meeting yet). I now thou have spotted marsh frogs in my learning process towards some how one day, getting some of these endangered ones

In case anyone is looking for some growling grass frogs and are ready to get them. I suggest to get in quick as this seems to be rare opportunity to get them, someone is selling some young ones at http://www.adpost.com/au/pets/8744/ (pity they arent being sold in my state as I would of tried to get some from him. He will thou freight them to other states thou).

...
I was reading an article today and these are probably going more then just endangered now in SA (and in other places too). In a survey of these last year, they only found two small places in SA with small numbers of them. This species very rapidly dying out.
