A big issue both in enclosures and in the wild.

Is the Cricket Paralysis Virus dangerous to Green Tree Frogs

Postby Atmospark » Mon Sep 07, 2015 6:24 pm

Pretty much as above.

I found ~90% of my crickets dead about 3 days after getting a new batch. I separated the healthy looking ones, thoroughly cleaned the box and put the healthy ones back in.

I then placed 2 in the tank with my frog and went to research why they would have died so suddenly, thinking it might have been overcrowding.

When I discovered the cricket paralysis virus it matched the situation I had and went to remove the crickets from the frog tank, however she had already eaten them.

I can't find any info on whether it's harmful to her so if anyone has an answer I'd be very grateful for it!

Thanks!
