suoer "old" Taddies

Postby » Wed Dec 03, 2014 3:57 pm

hello out there, Last year in Sept 2013 I collected about 6 little tadpoles from a virtual puddle, that appears every year on the fire road near the river on which I live. Every year it is full of tadpoles, so it's a regular waterhole for them. So as I said I took 6 for a little pond affair that I have in my garden. it's full of mossy leafy stuff and I kept it well watered all summer, so yesterday I thought I would clean it out, and Presto! there they were. I couldn't believe it, they should have frogged off 12 months ago. Is there a maximum time for Taddies to take to morph into frogs please. Any info would be of interest to me. Or do I have a new species????

I agree with you Chris, I think that they should have 'frogged off' by now.
I'm pretty sure that they are new ones, possibly the same species.
