green tree frogs

Postby Tina-909 » Mon Dec 19, 2016 7:49 pm

I'm a new gtf owner, I have had my 2 gtf's for about 4 months now

What I need to know is my male has started croaking a lot and slamming himself around the tank like hes trying to escape, he's taken a piece of skin off his nose. I'm just wondering is this because its breeding season?

I have a female that seems to be swollen, I'm thinking with eggs, but she spends all day hidden in a back corner, he calls and calls but she never comes to him, and hes gone from a quiet frog that's happy to just sit and bask under the light and mister, to a frog jumping into the glass and rubbing his face against the glass trying to get out.

Is this normal for this time of year?

I'm in N.S.W
