Identification

Hi, Discovered 20 of these frogs inside my new water feature :-) This one is only about 12mm long . Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Armidale NSW ( New England )

Hi,

Nice find and shot. Your frogs are Eastern Sedge Frogs (Litoria fallax). They are great little colonisers and like ponds and dams with aquatic vegetation.

That's a tricky one I think. Any other angles? I think it could be a young Uperoleia sp. Maybe a Smooth Toadlet (Uperoleia laevigata).

That's a Peron's Tree Frog (Litoria peroni).

Yep they are both Peron's. One thing to look for in this species is the cross-shape in eye involving the pupil. They also have yellow/orange and black markings on the back and inner thigh area.
