Burrowing Toad/Frog

Need some help to identify a frog (or tadpole or egg mass)? Sounds like a job for the collective minds of the Community. Photographs and/or recordings are greatly appreciated. Results guaranteed (All money cheerfully refunded).

Burrowing Toad/Frog

Hi,
First of all i know there are no native toads to aust.

We get in native tadpole at work and they guy that brang them in said 3 of them were burrowing toads, curiosity got the better of me so i branh them home. I will get some pics probably tomorrow.

Could anyone help me with there real name, sci. prefereable.

Sometimes the more "ugly" of our native frogs are called toads. I personally think our burrowing frogs are more beautiful than most frogs, but that is obviously personal opinion.

Based on your location, it is probably Neobatrachus pictus, N. centralis or N. sudelli. However, it may be another species since they were brought in as tadpoles, which are hard to identify.

Most probably they are Neobatrachus pictus, but will need pic to confirm.
