feeding habits of green tree frogs

Postby stephiggs » Mon May 12, 2008 4:53 pm

I am wondering about how much baby gtf's need to eat I have 11 frogs now. the oldest has been a fully formed frog for 3 weeks and the youngest is still a tadpole with all legs. Do frogs eat every day when they are young I have noticed that when I give them crickets they don't always get eaten. I worry my babies will starve.

When they are morphs they should always have food available for them.

will frogs continually eat if food is available, or do they moderate their intake to only when they are hungry?

They will stop eating when they are no longer hungry.

so grant.
i have 3 green tree frogs and 2 bell frogs and they devour every bit of food i put in their tank. the frogs are still less than 6months old.
should i fill the tank up with crickets till they all stop eating?
i dont want my growing frogs to be hungry all the time.

Well you don't have to fill the tank up with them, just make sure you can still see a few running around in the tank whenever you look, and once they run out put more in.
