Please identify

This species is not on the frogs of northern NSW. I have seen this species sparingly over the years. Location Dorroughby nsw outside Lismore. Habitat jungle. Found in sunken bath tub 1.5m from house surrounded by dense vegetation. Wildlife Refuge

I looked before but didn't know what it was, so left it until I saw there was a reply. Yours, as it turned out. I'm not an expert, especially in that area, but try looking up Uperoleia species. I suspect that's its genus.

Thanks.. I narrowed it down to that genus too by looking at frogs of northern nsw but did not see it. Will extend my search further. Thanks again for your time and efort

Hi, your frog is a nicely coloured Tusked Frog (Adelotus brevis). They are common in slow moving creeks and ponds in a range of forest types. The nature of the iris and the markings underneath are characteristic of this species.
